How I rekindled my lost interest

When I was young I enjoyed reading novels maybe this contributed to my love for writing or telling stories. I got inspiration from things I saw, listened to or heard about some people's lives. My ambition is to become a medical doctor and I striving hard on the path. I can say writing is a hobby not what I consider to be a profession. But things happened and it hit me so hard which led to desperation. I found myself studying computer science which I had little knowledge of what it entails.

My first two years were quite boring then in the third year, I met a coursemate by the name of Bashir. He was learning cyber security. He introduced it to me and I was convinced. Then I had pictured myself as a big shot in tech. Two of my lecturers were also part of those who motivated me in this tech journey. I and Bashir went our separate ways after school, and that's when I realised his physical impact on my learning. It was as easy as I thought it would be learning alone. It never occurred to me to connect with their community just to stay in line. I've lost contact with Bashir so I lost the courage and interest in cyber security. As a computer science graduate, I thought of making a career in tech to add value to my certificate. I guess I was doing little so it seems like nothing to my people. A lot of them introduced me to a new profession but I declined because I did not want to repeat the same mistake.

I also like to make designs out of anything such as paper and clothes(seamstress), invitations or greeting cards(I learnt that from a computer school immediately after my college graduation) and even make videos either with text or images (I do this for friends birthday or my business advertisement). Then I thought of a career in design because I found it enjoyable. I have a long list some of them are:

1. Web Designing

2. Visual designing

3. Game designing

4. Ux/Ui designer

5. Aminator_ I would say this is on my top list because it is a visual representation of my hobby. It'll gain more audience than the writing because most people today are too lazy to read.

I would have preferred Web designing but I do not enjoy coding it's a bit stressful for me. So, Recently I was invited to a tech event by a brother Fuad, who is a Web designer. We went together though it was kind of boring to me as a first-timer. I had no connection with other people maybe because I am yet to find my feet in the community. However, I gained a few from the speakers on certain topics and was able to rekindle my lost interest in tech with Fuad's effort. He explained briefly the concept of digital marketing and I think I fell in love with it. Because it has to do with graphics, content writing, marketing and some other things which I would be looking forward to learning.

I wish to turn my dream into reality by setting achievable goals. And get certified digital marketing by learning the necessary skills to work on innovative projects which promote creativity. I might explore more of the above-listed design-related tech courses to add up or set up a career in it. I just wanted to start a journey in tech and be one of the best in what I do.
